Which sticker material should I choose?

Which sticker material should you choose? This guide compares all 13 sticker materials available in the configurator – from white vinyl and PVC-free PET to holographic, metallic and special films – and explains lamination and cut types.

We print with UV-resistant inks on two base materials: flexible PVC vinyl (standard) and PVC-free white PET film (premium). On top of that you can choose special films. Every material comes with free gloss or matt lamination, which protects the print from scratches and fading.

Which material for which use?

  • Not sure? → White vinyl – you can’t go wrong with it.
  • Outdoor use → laminated white vinyl or extra-strong adhesive vinyl.
  • Packaging without PVC → PVC-free white (PET).
  • Glass, windows, clear bottles → Clear, with white underprint on dark or coloured surfaces.
  • Premium cosmetics or drink labels → Metallic silver or gold.
  • Merch and gifts that stand out → Holographic or one of the special films.
  • Rough or powder-coated surfaces, tools → Extra-strong adhesive.
  • A sticker that should come off again → Removable.

Gloss or matt lamination?

Lamination is free on every material and protects the print from scratches and fading. Gloss gives a shiny finish; matt gives a non-reflective surface. Choose the finish in the configurator – it does not change the price.

Kiss-cut, die-cut or sheets?

  • Die-cut – we cut through both the film and the backing paper, so the sticker has exactly the shape of your design (× 1.11).
  • Kiss-cut single – only the film is cut, the backing paper stays whole; easier to peel (× 1.06).
  • Kiss-cut on sheets – several stickers on one sheet, the base price. See sticker sheets.

The back of every sticker is siliconised backing paper, from which the sticker peels off easily. Prices and all surcharges: prices.
