Cookie policy
Which cookies sticker4y.eu uses, what they do, and how you can say no.
What cookies are, which ones we use on sticker4y.eu, what they do, and how you can say no – at any time, even later.
Effective: 20 October 2026
- We always use the cookies the shop needs – without them the cart and checkout would not work. The law does not require consent for these.
- We only place statistics cookies (Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity) on your device if you allow them in the cookie banner.
- We currently do not use advertising or marketing cookies.
- If you say no, the shop works exactly the same, including ordering.
- You can change your choice at any time: Cookie settings.
1. What is a cookie
A cookie is a tiny text file a website stores in your browser. Usually it only contains an identifier. It lets the shop remember what is in your cart or what you answered in the cookie banner. A cookie does not know your name and cannot access files on your device.
2. How we ask for your consent
On your first visit the cookie banner appears at the bottom. You can:
- Accept all – analytics tracking also starts
- Necessary only – no measurement
- Settings – decide on statistics separately
Until you answer, Google Analytics does not set any cookies: Google’s tag loads in a denied state (Google “Consent Mode”). We store your answer for 180 days, then ask again. You can change it any time via the Cookie settings link in the footer; withdrawal applies to the future.
3. Which cookies we use
3.1. Strictly necessary cookies
Without these the shop cannot do what you came for. They are exempt from consent under e-privacy rules and rely on our legitimate interest – Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. They cannot be switched off.
| Cookie | Set by | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
| s4y_suti | sticker4y.eu | Remembers your answer in the cookie banner. | 180 days |
| woocommerce_cart_hash, woocommerce_items_in_cart | sticker4y.eu | Tracks the content of your cart. | Until you close the browser |
| wp_woocommerce_session_* | sticker4y.eu | Session ID linking your cart to your visit until checkout. | 2 days |
| pll_language | sticker4y.eu | Remembers your language. | 1 year |
| wordpress_*, wp-settings-*, wordpress_logged_in_* | sticker4y.eu | Login to your customer account – only if you log in. | Session, or up to 14 days (“remember me”) |
| PayPal cookies | PayPal (paypal.com) | Secure payment and fraud prevention – only at the payment step. | According to PayPal’s rules |
3.2. Statistics cookies
We use Google Analytics 4 to see how many people visit the shop, which pages they view, where they come from and the value of purchases – without names or contact details. Google shortens the IP address. Legal basis: your consent – Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.
| Cookie | Set by | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | Google (via sticker4y.eu) | Distinguishes visitors with a random ID. | 2 years |
| _ga_<ID> | Google (via sticker4y.eu) | Keeps track of the session state. | 2 years |
| _clck | Microsoft (via sticker4y.eu) | Microsoft Clarity: tells visitors apart using a random identifier. | 1 year |
| _clsk | Microsoft (via sticker4y.eu) | Microsoft Clarity: links the page views of one visit. | 1 day |
We also use Microsoft Clarity: it shows us anonymously how visitors use the site (clicks, scrolling, heatmaps, session replays) so we can improve the shop. Typed input is masked by Clarity. Provider: Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited (One Microsoft Place, South County Business Park, Leopardstown, Dublin 18, Ireland). It only runs if you allowed statistics in the cookie banner.
Provider: Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). More: policies.google.com/privacy.
4. What happens if you say no
This has no negative consequences. The configurator, cart and checkout work the same. To be precise: Google’s tag still loads in a denied state and sends a technical signal, but without cookies and without identifying you.
5. Transfers outside the EU
Google and Microsoft provide their services through Irish companies, but their parent companies are in the United States and some data goes there. The legal basis is the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and the Standard Contractual Clauses. If you do not want this, simply decline statistics in the cookie banner.
6. What you can do in your browser
In your browser settings you can block or delete cookies. Deleting cookies also deletes your cookie banner choice, so we will ask again. If you block necessary cookies, the cart and checkout will not work.
7. Your rights
The same rights apply as for any other processing. They, our contact details and how to complain are described in our privacy policy. Questions: sticker@sticker4y.eu.
